Phoenix Legacies, the LGBTQ+ events agency founded by creative producer and nightlife curator Mussy Marcus, is set to launch its debut event, The Chapel, on Friday, 2 May 2025, at No90 Live, Hackney Wick. The party marks a major new addition to the capital’s queer nightlife scene and builds on months of community-led research and cultural groundwork.

The Chapel blends high-energy house music, pure pop nostalgia, and unfiltered queer hedonism. featuring DJs Callie Crighton, Prince JayJay, Raul Botella, Reenie, and TeTe Bang.

The night also features a live performance from rising star ROM-1, recently supported by BBC Radio 1 and Gay Times, and set to make their festival debut at Mighty Hoopla this summer.

Six go-go dancers will perform on the night, with additional performances to be announced.

More than just a party, the Chapel is an extension of Phoenix Legacies’ wider mission: to revitalise London’s queer nightlife through inclusive, high-quality events shaped directly by the community. In 2024, Mussy launched the LGBTQ+ London Nightlife Survey, which gathered over 300 detailed responses exploring how queer people in London experience and feel about nightlife. A full report is now in development and will be shared publicly with venues, promoters, and media.

“We’re not trying to recreate what’s already out there. We’re trying to rebuild something that’s been slowly disappearing – queer spaces that are fun, messy, safe, sexy, and full of intention. The Chapel is the first step in that journey.”

Mussy Marcus, Founder of The Chapel
