Mystic musings from darling scene royalty Princess Julia, talking what’s on queer East London.

Are you like me? Desperate for gossip? I usually get the latest news after the event. Nothing wrong with that either, as you get all the angles in one go. But which viewpoints are true to a story or when has gossip gone too far? We seem to live in a society where an embellishment or two is acceptable and we all like it a bit spicy don’t we?!

Talking of spicy, at BOiBOX they’ve gone all ‘tasty’ with a recipe of drag cabaret like no other. Adam All and Apple Derrieres showcase an evening at The Glory on Thursday 28th November. Join Kemah Bob as Lil Test Ease, Louis F.U.C.K, Rhys’ Pieces and Sammy Silver at 7:30.

Up at Bodycon, they crank up the croc shoe appeal and present Bodycroc at Dalston Superstore on Thursday 28th. Lol, this lot are a hoot! DJs Spooky Fellatio, Fancy Shews, Hooves, Brat and Buffy The Track Slayer! 9pm – 2:30am.

Time to turn out with Tina and a Tina 80 Live Cabaret Special! Yes, Tina Turner turns 80 and what better way to celebrate with a cabaret special hosted by A Man To Pet and guest stars Asttinna, Margo Marshall with Rudi Douglas on the piano! It’s at The Glory on Friday 29th November at 8pm.

I’ll be joining south London’s The Cock Tavern this Friday 29th for a DJ spot starting at 8pm. It’s a beautiful and spacious pub with a late license and lots going on. Join me and resident DJ David McNeil ‘til 2am! Free entry and delicious cocktails plus all the gossip!

Astoundingly, Jonny Woo has been entertaining us in drag for 20 years! Yes my dears, how fabulous! This Saturday 30th November The Glory are pulling out all the stops with an evening of drag. From 10pm it’s a nonstop party with shows, DJs and gogos ‘til 3am!

Up the road, it’s FIASCO 004 x World AIDS Day Fundraiser at Dalston Superstore on Saturday 30th. DJ Reece Spooner hosts a night where all proceeds go to Positive East. Join Fiasco fundraiser DJs OK Williams & Reece for a basement sesh. Samantha, Mark-Ashley Dup, Chaka Khan’t, Super Drama, Michelle Manetti and Janelle Wynter turning it out on the bar! 9pm – 3am.

Change of scenery with R & She at The Bethnal Green Working Men’s Club on Saturday 30th. DJs Neil Prince, QBoy and Not Just Jade playing the campest R&B and hip-hop classics! With performances from Rileasa Slaves and Vanity Milan! 9pm till 2am.

Chapter 10 is on this weekend. Yes, the queer rave at BLOC which is actually holding one last rave there tonight, Saturday 30th November! Join residents and guest DJs from 11pm ‘til morning.

Hi loves! Back with Princess Julia Loves on Sunday 1st December at The Glory. My special guest Kevin Le Grand joins me. And while we’re here talking Kevin Le Grand, book in for a major show Le Grand For Men on Tues 10th December also at The Glory. Showtime 8pm.

Now we’re in full flurry, the festive season has geared up a notch with a show, Just May Does A Not So Silent Night at The Karaoke Hole starting Tuesday 3rd December and continuing until 22nd December. It’s a sing-a-long showcase to get you in the mood!

Fancy a gig? Then Maggie Brown Live at The Lexington on Wednesday 4th December is somebody you need to know about! Maggie’s band – produced by Franz Ferdinand’s Alex Kopranos – are destined for superstardom on the indie scene!
