Written and composed by Charli Eglington, and directed by Markus Olzinger, Saving Mozart will play at London’s Other Palace theatre from 28 July to 30 August 2025. Tickets are on sale now at theotherpalace.co.uk

This is the Mozart you’ve never met—raw, human, electric

Mozart was a child prodigy, a musical rebel, an outcast and an icon. Saving Mozart is a bold new musical based on a powerful true story of passion, defiance, and music that refused to die. Inspired by Nannerl, Mozart’s sister, who played before he did. Driven by Leopold, the father who demanded perfection. Resurrected by Constanze, the wife who refused to let the world forget. Shunned by society. Fuelled by brilliance.

The production features a stellar cast of musical theatre superstars

The show’s cast includes Aimie Atkinson (Six, Pretty Woman) as Nannerl, Jack Chambers (Stiletto, The Strange Affair of Herschel Grynspan) as Mozart,  Erin Caldwell (Six, Heathers) as Constanze, Jordan Luke Gage (Titanique, &Juliet) as Salieri, Douglas Hansell (Stiletto, Come From Away) as Leopold and Gloria Onitiri (Hadestown, Upstart Crow) as Anna Maria.

Jordan Luke Gage

QX readers may also know Jordan Luke Gage as an LGBTQ advocate. He was nominated in 2022 for a National Diversity Award for being a positive role model in our community. Jordan first spoke openly about being gay in 2021. He performed his first professional role as Marilyn in Boy George’s award winning musical Taboo and since then has gone on to star in West End shows including & Juliet, Bonnie & Clyde, Bat Boy: The Musical and Titanique. In 2022, in celebration of 50 years since the first Pride march, Jordan participated in a one-off script in hand reading of The Pride.

Saving Mozart has earned multiple 5-star reviews and widespread critical acclaim

The production celebrated its world premiere earlier this year in Gmunden, Austria, just outside Mozart’s birthplace, in association with Musical Frühling in Gmunden.
