QX first met GIMI back in June of this year when he spoke about his new single and finding chosen family on the streets of Soho.

GIMI craves validation on the new single Communicate it which is from his forthcoming debut album.

Copenhagen-based Danish/Kosovan artist GIMI is back with a sensual yet melancholic nod to 90s UK garage and R&B. Communicate it is his 4th single, and it is out now.

GIMI reveals a different, more introspective side with Communicate it.

Communicate it is a sensual and complicated journey into self-worth and validation, exploring the struggle of finding your value in someone else’s desire.

Fresh out of his performance at SPOT Festival, GIMI played Communicate itfor a completely packed venue, teasing the rest of his upcoming debut album, which will be out on 7 November 2025.

Talking aboutCommunicate it, GIMI told QX,“I wrote this song about this deep-rooted need I have for validation. It’s about how we often seek self-worth through the attention of others, turning casual hookups into a search for approval and trying to find your value in someone else’s desire.

GIMI recently had two songs featured in the new Sundance premiering queer romantic drama ‘Sauna’ directed by Mathias Broe. A movie that made Danish cinema history for having the first trans lead in a feature film.

Much like the movie Sauna, Communicate it delves into themes of desire, hookup culture, and the search for self-worth, making GIMI’s Communicate it relatable and evocative.

Communicate it is out now.
