CENTRAL STATION – MISS JASON

08/06/12: Fresh from (spit)roasting Lola in Brighton (a truly hilarious night), Miss Jason stormed on to the stage at Central Station and, like Katrina, blew us away with her brilliant patter that managed to insult everybody but still leave them happy and smiling.

Planning a trip down to their basement club, she was prepared for all eventualities and had both footy boots and a nappy in her bag, but as it turns out it was Fetish Bound so she was fine with just a couple of pairs of tights!

Stories of almost entertaining the troops in Afghanistan followed along with ritual harassment of a straight boy called Michael, who apparently just came in for the Kronenbourg, and much singing of traditional drag ballads as well as modern classics like Diana Ross’s ‘Every Time You Touch Me’ and Madonna’s ‘Evita’.

DJ Steve battled through ailments of mouth and ear to provide aural support and cute bar staff kept our whistles whetted. A top, top night with two encores and a standing ovation.

Miss Jason is also appearing in Peter Pan as nurse Able Mabel this year and, assuming she can lose the required two stone, will be flying on wires around the stage, definitely one for the diary!
