17/05/15: There’s nothing more delightful than casually informing your friends, your colleagues and even total strangers that you’re off to a “boob-a-thon” and seeing the reaction. The most common response: “What on earth is a boob-a-thon?”
Well, my dears, a boob-a-thon is a fantabulous fundraising event to aid the purchase of new breasts for one fortunate individual. In this case, the lucky lady was Mzz Kimberly, scene stalwart and the best thing on rollerskates since Starlight Express. A veritable “Who’s That?” of drag and scenesters swanned through the Glory’s hole, all donating a tenner to the busty cause.
In return they were gifted with a fabulous evening of music, drag and good, old-fashioned fundraising (Jonny Woo shaking a bucket, to be precise). Tasty Tim and Mr John Sizzle were among those providing the tunes, alongside delights like Ma Butcher, Vanity Von Glow, Babs Bush and Raven Mandella on entertainment duties. All rounded off with a sexy striptease from a Spartan spunk.
Who could ask for more? An emotional Mzz Kimberly managed to say a few heartfelt words of gratitude to Mr Woo and the Glory gang for organizing such a sensational soiree, after learning that they had raised over £2000 to aid her transition. Plus a mysterious anonymous donor even offered to cover her expenses! Good luck in Poland, Kim!
