QX is excited to tell you about the LGBTQ+ New Comedian of the Year 2024 Finals, the UK’s biggest LGBTQ+ stand-up comedy competition.

This event features some of the most promising emerging talent in the LGBTQ+ comedy scene. Nine of the best new acts will be showcased, and you can watch and vote for your favourites to help find the LGBTQ+ New Comedian of the Year 2024.

The judging panel is truly impressive, with guest judges including Jonny Woo, Jen Brister, Zoe Lyons, and Daniel Foxx. Hosting the event is the wonderful Dane Buckley, and the 2013 winner Victoria Olsina will be headlining what promises to be an unforgettable night of LGBTQ+ stand-up comedy.

Here are the LGBTQ+ New Comedian Of The Year Finalists:

  • James Danielewski: “Cheeky real-life stories from a gay Northerner down south.”

  • Maple Zuo: “Chinese-Mongolian Comedian. Finalist Leicester Square New Comedian of the Year 2023.”

  • Marty Gleeson: “Offbeat, whimsical and dry with an unexpectedly dark edge.”
  • Ciara O’Connor: “Following an award-winning career in the Manchester drag scene, Ciara did the most transsexual thing of all; quit and erased all traces from the internet so she could move to London and date a Product Manager.”

The doors open at 6:45 pm, and the show starts at 7:30 pm and ends 10 pm.

LGBTQ+ New Comedian of the Year 2014 is on 11 June, at The Clapham Grand, Saint Johns Hill, London SW11 1TT, United Kingdom.
