QX announces more hot action as Love Muscle XX celebrates its Birthday on Saturday, 21 September.

There will be a magnificent cast of DJs, performers and hosts set against a majestic backdrop of the highest clubland production values with state-of-the-art lasers and lighting.

Angie Brown will perform at Love Muscle XX

The party will be accompanied by the legendary 90s dance icon Angie Brown, who will headline alongside DJs Paul Heron and Dorian. Mama Yvette and her popular Go-Go troupe will preside over proceedings.

Angie will be performing “Rockin’ For Myself” by Motiv-8, “I’m Gonna Get You” and the rave classic, “Playing With Knives”

Lots of extra surprises are planned to ensure Love Muscle XX clubbers can lose themselves in a hedonistic dreamland on the dance floor till the house lights go on! Legendary artist Mark Wardel (Trademark / Glitterbox) has created an iconic backdrop for the stage to add to the magic!

Following its sold-out Easter return at Lafayette, Love Muscle XX celebrates its Birthday at Electric Brixton, formerly The Fridge, its spiritual home. Precisely 32 years to the month after first landing on the London club scene, the party makes its return to where it all began. This will be a night of pure 90s nostalgia with 7 hours of nonstop anthems.

“Love Muscle XX was SO major. EVERYONE went…the atmosphere was never less than frenzied, ecstatic + joyful.”

Stewart Who? QX Magazine

The party will be overseen by the original Roxy Club punk duo and Fridge founders Andrew Czezowski and Susan Carrington, who are still closely linked to the party. Love Muscle was part of the duo’s legacy of clubs within the LGBTQ+ scene since the late 1980s, including Daisy Chain, Ciao Baby, Eve’s Revenge, and LM XX.

DJ Paul Heron

Get ready for an exciting night, featuring resident DJ Dorian and international DJ Paul Heron. Paul has prepared a special set exclusively for the night, with tribute sets dedicated to DJs Gareth and Marc Andrews. The night will feature Love Muscle XX anthems from the past 32 years, followed by Hardbag, Commercial Dance, Vocal House, and Eurodance till closing time.

Love Muscle XX is on 21 September ’24, from 11 pm till 6 am, at the Electric Brixton, Town Hall Parade, Brixton Hill, Brixton, London SW2 1RJ, United Kingdom
