There was a lot of nuts stuff happening in London this weekend. Something about the great weather/bank holiday combo sent the city into a kind of humid, wild spiral. One of the most notable things that happened though, was Diane Abbott being spotted drinking from a can of M&S mojito on the overground.

Despite the right wing press’s best efforts, far from chastising her, most people thought it was awesome. London drag artist Connor Joe (aka Joy Less) was one of those people, and paid homage to her in the best way, BY DRESSING AS A CAN OF M&S MOJITO.

Connor and their friends took a special trip on the overground with a selection of tinnies, in an homage to Diane. “We stan Diane,” said Conor’s pal Ed (aka Dolly Trolly) in a Facebook post.

“We all love a cheeky train tinny, and why were the press so interested in it? Would it would have been “news” if she had been someone else? We raise our cans, and thank you Diane for inspiring a LOVELY bank holiday Monday.”

As for QX’s stance on the issue – we love drag queens, we love Diane Abbott, and we love drinking tinnies on trains. That is all.
