So when you’re near us, darling can’t you hear us begging for an ABBA exhibition to come back to London. Taking an in-depth look at each band member’s personal history, ABBA: Super Troupers The Exhibition is set to land in the British capital later this year. It has been curated with an aim to illuminate the Sweedish music sensation by providing history and a range of artefacts previously not displayed in the UK.

In association with ABBA The Museum in Stockholm, Entertainment Exhibition International is taking over a 14,000 square foot space in one of the UK’s most iconic music venues to serve up a dose of schlager magic. This immersive exhibition is said to bring to life the chart-topping success of Agnetha Fältskog, Björn Ulvaeus, Benny Andersson, and Anni-Frid “Frida” Lyngstad. Together they dominated the charts, despite the pressures of their high-profile lives, busy schedule and personal dramas.

Curated by former artistic director at The Southbank Centre Jude Kelly CBE, this ABBA-approved exhibitions follows the success of a similar exhibition at The Southbank Centre back in 2017. Ephemera on display includes a limited edition replica of the ‘Sat Guitar’ played at their infamous 1972 Eurovision performance, a collection of their iconic costumes and over 40 gold discs from ABBA’s personal archive including smash-hit “Dancing Queen”.

ABBA: Super Troupers The Exhibition is running from 6th December until Monday 31st August. The O2, Peninsula Square, London, SE10 ODX.
