We just love Stanley Tucci. He’s that adorable friend of your dad who’s down with the kids and keeps it real. He won our hearts in the mid-naughties when he took a doe-eyed Anne Hathaway under his wing in 2006’s The Devil Wears Parada and he has been the star of our sexual fantasies ever since.

Over the years he’s taken on several queer roles, from the flamboyant host of The Hunger Games and Cher’s gay bestie in seminal yet underrated cult classic Burlesque. Despite being himself a heterosexual man, over the years Tucci has been more than generous to his big gay following, appearing early on in his career on the cover of gay themed web magazine Z. His role as Emma Stone’s father in Easy A had us wishing we’d been at her high school only to befriend her only to stare at her father.

During the early to mid-80s, Tucci worked as a model in and around New York landing a television commercial for Levi’s 501 jeans. This week that TV advert re-emerged, much to the delight of his fans, and all those who appreciate a balding muscle man in a tight white vest.

His half-smile, bulging arms and sincere furrowed brow is enough to send the most mild-tempered of us into a spirited bout of thrusting up against the dishwasher.

Photos from the shoot were tweeted out by @Colinsapera with the caption “just in case you need a little boost today, here’s Stanley Tucci in a Levi’s commercial from 1985”. Many took to twitter to express their pleasure at seeing the hunky young actor.
