London gay sex-positive club SBN says that it is requiring party goers to take a lateral flow test prior to being admitted to the event.
Government COVID regulations require proof of double vaccination or a negative PCR or lateral flow test result within the last 48 hours for those attending some venues.
In an email from Jamie HP, the event organisers, QX was told that, “All guests must have evidence of a negative lateral flow test conducted within 24 hours before the event, irrespective of vaccination status.”
Limited supply of lateral flow test kits
Jamie HP stated, “the party fully complies with Government COVID guidance for venues and event admissions.” Jamie also went on to explain, “We understand that lateral flow tests, and now also PCR test kits, are in short supply. If you can test yourself before coming to SBN, please do so. It will avoid hold-ups on arrival. If you cannot, lateral flow tests will be available outside the venue and can be collected before entering the club. This will only take a few mins and can be done behind the screens.”
However, the organisers have also stated that their supply of LFTs is limited.
This Sunday SBN re-opens at Club Union and the dress code is ‘naked’. Describing the space, Jamie HP wrote, “Our 4500 sq ft play space designed and fully fitted by the experts at UK Red is possibly the biggest of its kind in the country and is usually throbbing at the seams moments after opening.”
Party goers will be entertained by a live show at 5pm featuring Rob Hamish and Liam Branagh. DJ Aamyko will also keep the club pulsing.
Jamie HP signs off by saying, “It continues to be the case that if you have a cold or any flu-like symptoms, please do not come to the club, but if you’re feeling great, obviously, please do.”
SBN Sunday January 9 2022. 2pm-9pm. Entry is £18 members and £20 guests.
