The 37th edition of BFI Flare: London LGBTQIA+ Film Festival will run from 15 to 26 March 2023. In terms of the LGBTQIA+ calendar, BFI Flare is one of the most important and long-established queer film festivals in the world. In addition to BFI Flare, BFI Player will offer a selection of titles to audiences throughout the UK. In partnership with The British Council, Five Films for Freedom is making films available to international audiences.

During the festival, BFI Southbank will host a variety of unique events and DJ nights, including BFI Flare Expanded, which will run from 16-19 March.

BFI Flare is divided into three thematic programme strands: HeartsBodies and Minds, and this year presents 28 world premieres (across features and shorts) with 58 features and 90 shorts from 41 countries.
