The UK’s most recent Drag Race champion, Tia Kofi, returns with a beautiful new single, The First Time.
The song was written as the theme tune to the Official Netflix Heartstopper podcast, which accompanies Season 3 of the hit LGBTQ+ series. Tia hosts the YouTube and audio series and performs the theme tune.
The First Time is a swirling emotive electro-pop song about falling in love as a queer person for the first time. The lyrics talk of the acceptance and joy this emotion brings into your world after years of hiding who you really are. This is an end-of-summer anthem for queer romance.

2024 has been amazing year for Tia Kofi
They were crowned Queen of the Mothertucking World, winning RuPaul’s Drac Race UK Versus The World in March. Tia launched their hit sci-fi podcast, The Final FronTia, and their debut album Read My Lips became a Top 10 independent album. Tia was one of the main stage performers at Brighton Pride alongside Girls Aloud, they opened London’s Mighty Hoopla festival and also hosted the Opening Ceremony red carpet show for the Eurovision Song Contest in Malmo.
