A protest is being organised outside NHS England in SE1 on Wednesday, 18 February 2026 at 4:30pm demanding the release the HIV drug Lenacapavir in order to save lives now!
‘Without access to unique life-saving treatment, a small number of people living with HIV may die unnecessarily’: our health service must respond (by National AIDS Trust).
The demand is that NHS England must commission Lenacapavir — a life-saving injectable HIV drug — which people urgently need right now, even though it’s already available in Scotland.
“People are out of options. People are running out of time. People may die while NHS England stalls, so we’re taking action.”
Queue To Nowhere
Why protest?
National AIDS Trust, BHIVA, ACT UP London, UK-CAB and other organisations are calling for access to Lenacapavir to be secured urgently for those who need it.
1. Lenacapavir saves lives.
2. Without it, people — including young people and teenagers — face worsening illness, hospitalisation, and death.
3. NHS England are stalling.
4. We say every life counts.
5. If Scotland can provide Lenacapavir, why can’t England?
What are the demands?
1. Immediate commissioning of Lenacapavir for those with no other treatment options.
2. Full accessibility, matching NHS Scotland.
3. NHS England and Gilead must agree a fair price for Lenacapavir and get the treatment out there.
The action: “Queue To Nowhere”
This will be a powerful visual protest outside NHS England:
1. A generational queue — elders at the back, young people at the front.
2. A “Road to the Future” blocked by NHS England.
3. A big orange/yellow “ball of life” passed down the line asking: “Where’s our future?”
4. Choreographed protesters holding Lenacapavir syringes.
5. Led by young people, centred on frustration, urgency and hope.
This echoes the historic PrEP actions — because direct action saves lives.
What are the messages
1. Every life counts.
2. We deserve a future too.
3. Why are we STILL waiting?
4. Lenacapavir saves lives.
5. Shame on NHS England for stalling.
Who should come?
1. People living with HIV
2. Allies
3. Health workers
4. Activists
5. Students
6. Anyone who believes healthcare delays cost lives
Bring placards, noise, energy and friends!
