Acid’s Reign After Dark is a one-night-only late-night celebration hosted by the acclaimed drag artist, musician, author, and model Bimini at Pleasance London on Saturday, 4 July, 2026. The party follows a performance of the new queer musical, Acid’s Reign.
The night will start with a performance of Acid’s Reign at 7 pm, followed by a late-night takeover beginning at 9 pm. Bimini will host a cabaret showcase featuring special guest performers from 9:15 pm to 10:15 pm. After the showcase, Bimini will take to the decks for a silent disco DJ set. The evening will continue until 2 am.
The event occurs as Acid’s Reign previews at Pleasance London before a full Edinburgh Festival Fringe season at Forth, Pleasance Courtyard in August.
Written by Luke Howarth and Evie Fehilly, with an original score by Gabriel Chernick, Acid’s Reign is a riotous drag climate musical packed with powerhouse vocals, live music, and razor-sharp humour, starring Victoria Scone, Scarlett Harlett, Gigi Zahir, Se Carr/Jamie Fuxx, and Ash Weir.
Set between 2019 and the present day, the show follows a radical drag supergroup formed to combat climate change. Their ideals are put to the test when public interest wanes, funding decreases, and pressure to achieve commercial success intensifies. Provocative, camp, and fiercely entertaining, this musical explores themes of activism, community, and the power of performance through an unapologetically queer lens.
Bimini, who gained international fame as a finalist on the second season of RuPaul’s Drag Race UK, is leading the After Dark celebrations. They won four challenges and made history as the first contestant in the UK franchise to reach the final after lip-syncing in the opening episode. Since then, Bimini has developed a successful career in music, fashion, and publishing. They released a bestselling book titled Release the Beast: A Drag Queen’s Guide to Life, made their runway debut at London Fashion Week with Art School London, and signed with Relentless Records. Bimini’s debut EP, When the Party Ends, was released in 2023 to critical acclaim.
With drag royalty, live performance, surprise guests and a dancefloor open until the early hours, Acid’s Reign After Dark promises to be one of the most exciting queer nights of the summer.
