This regular monthly event will feature live performances from the world of music, dance, art, and comedy. It is scheduled for the last Wednesday of every month at Nico’s Cocktail Bar in Hackney Wick.

Emma-Jane Nutbrown, the founder of Queer Edge, told QX that she is bringing live music and entertainment events to the area to meet the growing demand for queer events in Hackney Wick – an area known for its creativity and expression.

“QE LIVE will provide a platform for our talented local queer artists while creating another hangout spot for our local queer community. We promise fun vibes and a fresh way for artists and audiences to connect through live entertainment gigs.”

The launch event on Weds 31st July features a fantastic lineup, including performances by RuPaul’s Drag Race favorite, Baby, Ashley – Queer Edge’s queen-host and poet, acoustic singer/songwriter Esther Turner, the hilarious queer comedy queen Ella Evans, Al Coffey, who played at QE’s debut and is back by popular demand, and Sir Jude, celebrating her album release Revelations, unraveling internalised misogyny and discovery of the self.

The event will be held every last Wednesday of the month, starting on Weds 31st July. Doors open at 5pm, and live performances begin at 6pm. @nicos.hackneybridge E15 2SJ
