29/02/20: Shantay, you STAY! Everyone’s favourite reality show made its premier on Saturday and had folks LEAPING for joy. It was the 29th of February. Leap Day. Get it? Ugh. The queers turned up in droves to see the first crop of queens being taken through the ringer. Since most of us gays aren’t the biggest sports fans, Drag Race fulfils that function. Getting together at a bar, shouting at the screen, routing for opposing teams. For the record, at this early stage we can confidently say we’re #TeamJackie. Campy, talented and handsome. We stan. Taking over from the televised madness was the one and only Poppycock, who honestly put those Season 12 queens to shame with her sickening performance. Can we actually say that we’re #TeamPoppycock this season, even though she’s not competing?
