Box Of Sin launch party, 3 October 2023.

Disco Discharge presents the launch party of Box Of Sin with a panel discussion and an afterparty at Spiritland on the 3rd of October. New Disco Discharge compilation Box Of Sin celebrates music popular across queer nightlife in the 80s.

To celebrate the launch, gay author and activist Paul Burston will host a panel discussion followed by an afterparty. Guests include three musical forces who helped shape gay nightlife in the 1980s and beyond.

Princess Julia is a mainstay of London’s queer underground as a model, DJ and fashionista. She discovered New Wave in the late 70s and hasn’t stayed in since! She’s now a regular DJ at The Glory and Dalston Superstore.

Wayne Shires hosted legendary nights at Substation Soho and Substation South, Crash, and The Cock, as well as club brands East Bloc and Brut and queer festival Summer Rites. He’s now busy in Hastings running a pub and promoting the annual all-day Queer On The Pier festival.

After the panel discussion, DJ Mike Menace will showcase tunes from Box Of Sin plus his choice of tracks across the genres from Hi-NRG to Divas.
