Taking place at the welcoming Well & Fed Café in Peckham, this edition of the South East Latinx collective promises radical joy and sonic exploration, bringing together powerful sounds from Brazil, the Caribbean, and Southern Africa.
All communities are welcome — from vinyl heads to curious neighbours, sound system lovers to brunch-goers.
Headlining the lineup is Lei Di Dai, Brazil’s trailblazing “Queen of Dancehall” (Rolling Stone Brasil), known for her electrifying live sets and activist voice from São Paulo’s underground. After a successful European tour, stopping by renowned stages including the Glastonbury Festival, the artist, well known in Brixton, now takes a turn in Peckham.

An exciting roster of diasporic DJs:
Maldita Vaina, a Dominican-Sudanese DJ channelling Afro-Caribbean and queer club rhythms.
DJ Kleiton, founder of Obrigado Soundsystem, brings raw funk and Afro-Brazilian roots.
Midnight Swami, a South African selector weaving amapiano, kwaito and house into soulful, dancefloor storytelling.
Club Bodega is about filling that gap and creating a space where community, culture, and joy thrive.
“As someone who has always loved the East London queer scene, I felt a lack of space to celebrate my own culture, especially considering that London has such a large Latinx community. We are finally seeing so many new labels rising with the Latincore and Brazilcore trend. I love the Perreo and the baile funk vibe. This is all I have been waiting for. Club Bodega is another piece of this Latin America puzzle. We want to bring the late 80s/90s Latin house tunes blended with the current Western hits. It’s a party for everyone, and it’s about going back home feeling good.
Founder Cézar Almeida
“As a foreigner, you often face challenges that are difficult to explain to locals. I have been fortunate to be here and meet people from various cultures. Despite our different experiences, beliefs, and backgrounds, we have always found strength in coming together and looking after one another. This is the essence of what Club Bodega represents.”
Club Bodega is unapologetically about inclusivity and collaboration. It’s an event designed to create a safe and celebratory environment for the queer Latinx community.
