This is the popular DJ’s first time hosting a party in London, and with Overdraft he hopes to recreate the audacious, DIY, queer club-kid vibe he experienced when he first moved to London in 2015.
The Divine will be hosting Overdraft on Friday 6 February 6, 9pm – 3am.
QX threw a couple of questions at him about Overdraft so you all know what the fuss is about.
Hi JayJay. What kind of parties did you throw in Amsterdam?
Hi QX. Back in 2018, I had the opportunity to create a club-kid alternative party at Club NYX in Amsterdam. It was such a huge success from the first event, as there wasn’t much of an alternative drag club scene before.
They are wild, free, cultivating, and community-driven events that always sell out, and everyone has the most fabulous time.
Why did you choose The Divine as the venue for your club night in London?
The Divine was the most obvious choice to me. It’s a queer, grungy, DIY venue that champions the alternative, Weirdo, freaky, creative parties and people. I was actually very grateful that they asked me to bring my club kid Party to them! I think we’re a perfect match, and together we are gonna create magic!

What is the music policy, and what vibe can the crowd expect?
Think bouncy house, remixed pop, dance music, with a vocal we can all sing along to. It’s filthy, sexy, current music.
Upstairs will be a more chill vibe while the girls, gays & theys, chat, drink, and get all the pics.
Downstairs in the basement is where things get dark and sweaty, bouncy house, tech house, rave, tits out kinda vibe.
THIS WILL BE THE FIRST OF MANY OVERDRAFT PARTIES at The Divine!
