13/11/19: Fancy a night of Christmas karaoke underneath a pizza joint in Dalston, hosted by a drag queen dressed as Geri Halliwell? Omg you do?! Well that’s great, because it’s a thing that actually exists! A Not So Silent Night at The Karaoke Hole is hosted by Just May, who’s been obsessed with Geri since she was little and spends an evening crooning (murdering) a host of Christmas classics, as confused but very entertained punters sing along and feast on THE BEST pizza this side of Sicily, courtesy of Voodoo Ray’s upstairs. The vibe of the evening is classic East London queer – it’s irreverent, it’s silly, it’s self-referential, it’s a bit of a mess – basically, it’s everything we want from a night out. It’s on throughout December – go! Bring your mum. Have a pizza. Stick some cocktail sticks in an orange. Bish bash bosh. Mary’s your uncle, Joseph’s your aunt.
