Gilhémina Slay-Her is ‘hot tranny mess’ personified. She’ll be glammed up to the nines, but that doesn’t stop her from getting royally trashed. You won’t find her out on the scene every week, but she’ll be at the parties that matter.
What kind of music do you play?
Primarily alternative and commercial vocal house – things that get people going “Oh my God, I love this song”, but generally don’t hear out that much. But I love to mix that shit up with a bit of old school garage, R&B and underground house.
And where can we find you playing/what can we expect from next set?
Gilhémina Slay-Her is yet to find a DJ residency, but that doesn’t stop her taking over the music at every chill out. Firstly, there’s a lot less pressure when you forget to change the track because you’ve sneaked off into the toilets for a cheeky blowie. Although moving into the public sphere seems inevitable once I’ve grown up a bit.
