Having long been a beacon of Eastern excellence on London’s queer scene, Club Kali is now like totally over land is taking to water. Just like a drunk tourist during last week’s heatwave, they’re jumping into the Thames for a Bollywood meets Hollywood queer rager.
Since 1995, Club Kali has been serving an invaluable dose of diversity within London queer nightlife. Bringing together that spirited Bollywood rush of colour and movement with a Hollywood splash of glam. Think Priyanka Chopra having a boozy night out in Mumbai with her favourite queers.
If you need to brush up on your hip-thrusting motions then be sure to land early for the Bolly Bop Dance Class that’ll be teaching you the difference between your Bharatnatyam from your Kathak. They’ll be taking over Bar&Co. Party Boat, at Temple Pier, WC2R 2PN from 10 pm. The dance floor will be bustling to the sound of bolly-tunes and your more generic bops until the early hours.
