Drag Me To Ku – Ku Bar’s brand new high-heeled roster!

drag night

Ladyqueers and gentlegays, we are officially reaching peak drag. The capital has been swept up into a mania of false lashes and rhinestoned heels. Kicking things off with a pair of patent leather thigh-high boots this week are the Ku Group, serving more cross-dressing than your little heart can take. Fiercely independent, they’re free to take over their forward-thinking and fashionable venues with a wave of extravagance.

This week they’re bringing in two brand-spanking-new weekly events for you to sink your stiletto into.

RuPaul’s Drag Race UK: Live Screening: Thursdays 7 pm-3 am

It’s sure to hit London’s gay scene like a ton of brick-heeled platforms. RuPaul’s Drag Race UK is debuting on British screens this week and it has us queers worked up into a frenzy. Never ones to miss out on an excuse to get a party going, Ku Bar and Little Ku will be running live screenings every week.  Over in Soho, Little Ku will be beaming the show across their screens, giving you a chance to get your drink on. Their screenings are in the hands of bitchy yet pretty Veruca Salt, with a guest DJ providing tantalising tunes. Down in Chinatown, Ku Bar on Lisle Street will be taken over by heels, lashes and sass across their flat-screen TV screens. Who’ll be sinking, and who’ll be swimming? Will a London queen take the crown or will the crown be travelling up North? Once the screening is wrapped up, probably on a cliffhanger knowing Ru, the party can really begin. Retro beats and throwback bangers will be taking over the Ku Klub until the early hours.

Ku Bar, Leicester Square WC2H 7BA and Little Ku, Soho W1D 5LB. Free Entry.

KU Drag: Sundays Doors 8 pm, Showtime 9 pm

Drag night at Ku

Let’s go, girls. Sundays, a day of rest, but not for KU. Their end of week ragers just got a whole lot sassier. Ku Drag will be taking over the infamous Ku Klub every Sunday evening, with mistress of the night Lady Lloyd playing host to titans of the London drag scene. Grab a drink and be witness to the hottest acts working the circuit. Knock back those tequilas like Monday morning’s never going to come. This week they’re welcoming the loud and lanky Meth to the stage. Though we do not condone the taking of substances, for Meth the queen we’ll make an exception.  She’ll be followed by the brassy tones of boisterous broad Holestar. Be sure to be within earshot when she gets going, you don’t want to miss her crazed crooning. Playing you off into sunrise will be our Lady Lloyd serving hits, knits and tits.

Ku Klub, Leicester Square WC2H 7BA. Free Entry.
