Following a successful outing on the West End and an online reimagining in February, Alexis Gregory and Emmerson & Ward Productions are taking Riot Act on tour this summer from 29th April to 28th August 2022. This production brings an outrageous hilarity to match its hard-hitting poignancy, exploring 6 decades of LGBTQ+ history by bringing to life the stories from three members of the LGBTQ+ rights movement: Michael-Anthony Nozzi, a survivor of the Stonewall riots; Lavinia Co-op, an alternative ‘70s drag artist; and Paul Burston, a ‘90s AIDS activist.

This hybrid tour includes in person performances as well as online screenings of the digital piece, and will see the digital adaptation return to wider global streaming platforms. The tour will also include workshops for young LGBTQ+ people and local LGBTQ+ community groups. A celebration of queer activism across the decades; pulling no punches, hilarious, moving and inspiring… It’s a riot.
