Emmerson & Ward Productions and We Are Survivors, in association with Curve, present a bittersweet tale of political campaigns, sexual consent and steam trains.

The MP, Aunty Mandy & Me by Rob Ward

Meet Dom, the man who wants more than anything to be an #instagay #influencer. However, it’s tough when no one likes your posts, and you can’t find a fella who shares your love of trains. Dom lives in a small northern village five miles from the nearest gay, and to make it worse, he still lives with his MDMA-popping, Simply Red loving mum. He’d love to lead a fabulous life with the A-Gays in the big city, but his social anxiety prevents this from becoming a reality. It’s all very much of an effort.

Then one day, a chance encounter with the local MP turns his world upside down. But how much does Dom have to give up in pursuit of the life he thinks he wants?

The MP, Aunty Mandy & Me, explores consent, grooming and coercion in the gay male community with biting humour and contemporary social commentary.
