As One In The Park Festival in Ealing, 21 July ’24

The lineup has been announced for As One In The Park Festival. It features DJs Hannah Wants and Adonis, with special guest artists Danny Beard and Baga Chipz.

Presenting: Cabaret, Drag Artists, Live Comedy, Circus Acts, and Dancers! There will be street food and drink pop-ups, a market, body painting, and plenty of glitter. Why not indulge in the VIP area?

With a specific focus on championing local talent and grassroots culture, the As One Festival presents some of the most promising emerging musical and artistic skills from the London LGBTQ+ scene across four stages and a VIP Area.

Making the As One In The Park Festival as accessible as possible

All this is for a reasonable £20 ticket price to keep in line with the current cost of living crisis. The As One Festival team aims to make the As One Festival as accessible as possible to EVERYONE who wants to come along.

Hannah Wants, a self-taught turntablist and global star, will lead the Main Stage festivities. She recently released her new single, “Cure My Desire,” ahead of her upcoming US tour. Having delivered outstanding performances at Coachella, Miami Music Week, EDC Vegas, Avant Gardener in NYC, and Shambhala in Canada, Hannah has established herself as an international headliner who knows how to kick off a party.

Hannah is known for her deep, tech, and rolling, bass-driven sounds. She can combine classic influences and has headlined events at Printworks (2023 season), Parklife Festival, and BBC Radio 1’s Ibiza event. She is also one of the artists on the Defected Records list and has her imprint called Etiquette. Additionally, Hannah created the soundtrack for Chantelle Cameron’s 2023 World Title fight against Katie Taylor, one of the biggest boxing matches in the history of women’s sports.

Joining the Main Stage is Absolute, known for his high-energy performances and famous for his remix of Kylie’s “Padam Padam”. He has headlined False Idols at Drumsheds, Dalston Superstore, and Club Love in Bristol and has recorded a BBC Radio 1 Essential Mix Live from Glastonbury. Absolute has been busy with production, collaborating with Bimini on “Fashion Nympho”, serving as Musical Director for Jack Irving at London Fashion Week, and creating a ten-minute recorded set for the immersive Mixmag Pride exhibition at the Outernet, which was hosted throughout June 2023 and attracted 108,000 people per week.

Danny Beard at As One In The Park

Danny Beard is the season four champion of RuPaul’s Drag Race UK. They made history as the first bearded Queen from all franchises worldwide to win the competition. They host a BBC Radio 1 show and an LGBTQ+ podcast called “The Gossip Gays.” Additionally, they created “The After Shave with Danny Beard” for BBC Three as their winner’s show, making it the first spin-off from RuPaul’s Drag Race UK. Danny also made a cameo appearance in the TV series Hollyoaks.

Known for their club kid aesthetic and old-school drag performance mix, Danny Beard is set to bring their talents to the As One Festival. As Graham Norton says, “High-fashion, hilarious and hairy! What’s not to love?”

Sprinkling magic on the festivities alongside Danny is fellow RuPaul’s Drag Race UK star Baga Chipz. They are joined by some of the most alluring new artists on the scene, including Amy Laqueefa, El Conchitas, Brandy X, Chantelle Ayanna, Pork Elizabeth Pie, Silverhook, Flesh And Bones, Not Just That Jade, Smiley Vyrus, Son Of A Tutu, and Ysheblack.
