The glitter is back, and so is the message for Daisy Puller’s 5th Annual World AIDS Day Cabaret at One Ninety Four, London, on the 27 November 2025. This year marks the fifth anniversary of Daisy Puller’s WAD Cabaret. The cabaret celebrates half a decade of unapologetic queer brilliance. This is a boundary-pushing performance, with bold activism, in the fight against HIV stigma.

For five incredible years, this show has brought together drag, cabaret, and burlesque icons to raise vital funds for Positively UK. This peer-led charity supports individuals living with HIV. As we celebrate our achievements, we must also acknowledge the ongoing reality: the fight is far from over.

Recent data from the UK Health Security Agency (UKHSA) indicates that efforts to prevent HIV are making a positive impact, although inequalities still exist. In 2024, new HIV diagnoses decreased by 4%, partly due to a 7.7% increase in the use of PrEP (pre-exposure prophylaxis), which now has over 111,000 users. However, there are still significant gaps that the community must actively address.

Testing rates among young people (ages 15–24) have declined by 7%. Although diagnoses are decreasing in London, they are increasing in areas outside the capital. This indicates that not all communities are being effectively reached. Furthermore, 42% of new cases are still diagnosed late, leaving individuals without critical opportunities for early treatment and prevention.

The cabaret is sponsored by Preventx, the UK’s largest provider of online sexual health services. The show is further supported by Sexual Health London and Goudie Events. This year’s cabaret goes beyond mere celebration—it aims to mobilise. Hosted by HIV activist and drag powerhouse Daisy Puller, the show urges London’s LGBTQ+ community and allies to prioritise HIV awareness, support peer-led services, know their status through testing, and continue to break the stigma surrounding the virus.

Last year, the event raised an impressive £20,000 in support of Positively UK, with organisers hoping to raise even more this year.

“This event is a real labour of love for me. Every year takes months of planning and a whole lot of passion — but seeing our community come together makes it all worth it. Daisy Puller’s World AIDS Day Cabaret is more than a show; it’s a celebration of resilience, joy, and solidarity. Every ticket sold and every donation helps fund peer-led support for people living with HIV and keeps the fight against stigma alive.”
