Hersh Dagmarr, the cabaret singer-songwriter and visual artist known for their distinctive and compelling voice on the international cabaret circuit, will headline this event at the Circle & Star theatre in Hampstead, North London. The performance is on Friday, 24 April 2026, and begins at 7:30 PM.

Hersh Dagmarr was a prominent figure in the 1920s Weimar Berlin cabaret scene until their sudden disappearance, the circumstances of which remain unclear. This April, Dagmarr’s ghost will return to the Circle & Star to share memories through song, accompanied by George Webster on piano.

The evening will feature a program in French, German, and English, showcasing a century of cabaret, chanson, Sprechgesang, and popular song. Audiences can look forward to performances of works by Edith Piaf, Kurt Weill, Marlene Dietrich, Cole Porter, Iggy Pop, the Pet Shop Boys, and even Kylie, among many others.

Hersh Dagmarr is a London-based French singer-songwriter, cabaret performer, and Weimar Berlin revenant who never truly left. With a unique blend of expressionist and theatrical avant-pop cabaret, they draw inspiration from the grand German kabarett tradition, their background as a jazz singer, and their experiences as a French club kid from the noughties.
