For the first time in London the hit-selling play Let’s Try Gay!

When two best friends, Jack and Phil, meet in a hotel to shoot a gay adult movie for the very first time, things don’t go to plan. Jack is struggling with life as an artist, whilst Phil is troubled with doubts about his sexual identity. Then, one night, they hatch a plan to create an art film of “two really straight men having sex”. This laugh out-loud comedy is a goofy deeper analysis of human nature.

I am very enthusiastic at the idea to take this show to London for the first time. – States Alessandro Onorato: We really enjoy our time together on stage, trying to improvise something new every time in a language that is not our first one, it is not easy, but I think the result is always very natural and funny. I love it when the audience has fun with us for the first half of the show, and slowly gets moved In the second when things get more serious. It’s definitely my favourite show to perform in and can’t wait to do it in London.

Freely inspired by the indendepent movie Humpday, this brand new theatre comedy was originally planned to debut at the 2020 Edinburgh Festival Fringe. Let’s Try Gay was postponed due to pandemic, and first went stage at the Colchester Fringe in 2021, where it was rapturously  received by critics.

“The duo got no shortage of laughs from the audience but also delivered a huge amount of depth to the characters…”
