Bone Broth by Alex Taylor is a coming-of-age queer thriller. The young transmasculine character Ash transitions into adult employment by preparing bone broth, which is the backbone of the noodle bar’s menu. Quick to temper but passionate about his family’s secret recipe, the owner, Bug, entrusts Ash’s training to his co-workers: Honey, Blue, Sock, and Creamy.
Just as everyone is celebrating at a drunken staff party, the atmosphere changes abruptly when Bug collapses on the floor. Instead of panicking, the staff starts taking selfies with the corpse. Fortunately, they all know the perfect recipe for handling this unexpected situation…
