Ku Bar celebrates 15 years at Lisle Street today. Once in a small venue in the Charring Cross road, just next door to the now closed 79 CXR, Ku Bar upped sticks and moved round the corner. We remember the old bar well, Gary Henshaw was generally to be seen at the end of the bar keeping an eye on the place. Our offices were rather conveniently located across the road.

After a major refurbishment the old and run down Polar Bear pub at 30 Lisle Street opened on St Valentines day as the rather fabulous Ku Bar. Gary bet the farm on Ku Lisle street working and 15 years, several more venues and hundreds of rolls of wallpaper later here we are. Ku was built strong enough to survive COVID and now looks forward to a prosperous future, full of optimism.

QX wishes Gary and his team the very best for the future. We hope you all have a great evening.

And don’t forget …

There’s a brand new menu at Ku Leicester Square, with filling meals and small plates of delectable nibbles for one or to share. From yummy Margherita Pizzas to Welsh rarebit, there’s something to please every pallet. Great for an after work pitstop!
