Rupert Street Bar in Soho has always attracted a professional and sensible crowd. Now the madness of Saturday has died down, Soho can revert to sensible drinking as well, in well run LGBTQ+ bars. For all the Stonegate Pub venues, staying safe is the message of the day, and no venue owner wants to see social distancing fall by the wayside. Bars can´t take another lockdown. We hope the government will take some responsibility for the bad timing of reducing lockdown restrictions on a Saturday and, along with the council and police, will work with venues to make drinking safe for people to enjoy. We all need some kind of normality, and we have the right to sensible governance.
