This is a charity event (with ViiV Healthcare and GAY TIMES) where conductor Oliver Zeffman and the CBSO present the first Classical Pride concert by a major European orchestra. This concert will celebrate the diversity of the LGBTQ+ musical community, featuring performances from trailblazing classical stars, including Pavel Kolesnikov, Samson Tsoy, Davóne Tines, Nicky Spence and Ella Taylor. The Programme includes Bernstein Candide – Overture, Poulenc Concerto for Two Pianos (soloists – Pavel Kolesnikov and Samson Tsoy), Julian Anderson Echoes (soloists – Davóne Tines and choir), Caroline Shaw Is a Rose (soloists – Davóne Tines, Ella Taylor and Nicky Spence) and Tchaikovsky Romeo and Juliet.
