Karrasekare is a performance taking inspiration from the pagan carnival traditions of Sardinia and the Basque Country. It’s an exploration of communal rituals and traditions, with a focus on the catharsis that comes with them. The show is raw, sweaty, elegant, and challenges our prudishness. It delves into the roots of traditional rhythms that have accompanied dances for centuries.
