Those cosmic disco debaucherers TheMenWhoFell2Earth are teaming up with the chunks of hunk at Meat to bring a sonorously gorgeous and totes edgy melding of homo house and poofy pop to East Bloc.

We spoke to both of them about their DJ do’s and donts, from party-starting bangers to hot hits that would pull back the deadest of dancefloors.

What’s your favourite record to get the party started

Men: Bjork – Big Time Sensuality

We’ve been playing this almost everywhere we’ve played for almost as long as we’ve played together – timeless!

Meat: Dannii Minogue – So Under Pressure

It won’t come as a surprise that we’re pretty butch when it comes to our playlist

Save a dying dancefloor (this obviously has never really happened to any us!)

Men: Drop Out Orchestra – Gibbon

One of the biggest MenWhoFell records that we’ve been playing since day one. It has the most ridiculously groovy bassline and a drop that can kill at 100 paces.

Meat: Donna Summer – I Feel Love

It’s like ecstacy without the ecstasy

Favourite new track you’re itching to play

Men: Cowboy Rhythmbox – Fantasma

Dead melodic chuggy techno of the kind that sucks people in without them even realising

Meat: Currently anything from the Giorgio Moroder album. Obviously he’s a legend and his legacy is already sealed, but coming back with this record is pretty spectacular.

Make them lose their shiiiiiiiit

Men: Chemical Brothers – Go

Press play on the chemical brothers and people go crazy. Standard.

Meat: Kylie – Slow (Chemical Brothers Remix)

Why not? Why not make them think they are in Barcelona in Speedos looking fabulous with a cocktail in hand when in reality it’s just a gin and tonic in a basement

Give you enough time to run to the toilet and back

Men: Stryke – Like Records

This has been getting a lot of plays from us lately – nice vintage house vibes but more importantly its 11 minutes long!

Meat: Pointer Sisters – Automatic 12” Mix

We drink pints so there has to be a massive amount of classic disco 12” mixes in our set

Close the night with…

Men: We’ve always been huge on last records – and spent hours debating them! Right now it’s Richie Haven’s amazing version of Going Back To My Roots – beautiful one last dance, end of night vibes.

Meat: Carly Simon – Why

At the end of the night, love sucks.

• TheMenWhoFell2Earth will be joined by both The Meat Boys for a special extended duo-tastic work out on Saturday 22nd, 10:30pm, at East Bloc.
