Peckham is THE place to be. It’s populated by eccentric African ladies and hot young art students; the two best kinds of people in the world! As a result, Peckham is a chicken wing-littered, avant-garde, graffiti-sprayed NIRVANA. 

Walk down Rye Lane and you can buy anything. Absolutely anything. An ornate Gambian bangle. A bloody mary seasoned with pulled pork and condescension. A graphic design course. A goat. Maybe not a goat. Although Khan’s Bargain sells small plastic goats. They also sell hats that say “COOL” on them. You have to try them on in a mirror next to the Pringle shelf.

Anyway, the one thing Peckham lacked was a gay night. BUT NOW IT’S GOT THAT TOO. Peckerz! With a Z! It’s landing at The Nines, in the Bussey Building complex, on October 17th. It’s the brainchild of Douchebag’s Laurence Del Rey and ‘Solo Dreams Of Nicola Roberts’. They’ll be playing queer hip-hop BANGERS like LE1F, Missy Elliot and Azealia Banks (we’re still not sure how we feel about Azealia Banks – she needs to put down her phone, open her fridge and have a good think).
