YES! It’s about the way you WALK! It’s about the way you EXPRESS YOURSELF.

Do you know what we’re on about yet? We’re on about a culture that’s sweeping London’s underground club scene. Voguing and ballroom! Yes! Love it! Originating in New York’s black LGBT community, it’s made a hop across the pond. There have been pockets of it in London for years, but now it’s reaching new heights, with increased visiblity thanks to the fashion world and progressive artists like FKA Twigs.

Now is YOUR CHANCE to join in! There’s an open session at Studio 68 this Saturday. You’ve got your chance to strut your stuff, in four categories: Runway, Oldway, New Way and Vogue Fem. Their event page emphasizes that you shouldn’t be scared or shy! This event is for everyone, and is all about love in the community.

And it’s made all the more special by the fact that SEVEN London houses are coming together to organize the event: #MAGNIFIQUE #MILAN #REVLON #KHAN #ULTRAOMNI #LADYDI and #TEA. They’ll be giving your advice, tips, history and culture on the world of Ballroom. So get down there!

• London Ballroom Session is on Saturday 4th June at Studio 68 (68 Ewer Street, SE1 0NR) from 8:45pm. £3.
