Fancy a bit of hockey? Well you’re in luck! The London Royals Hockey club is the UK’s first and largest LGBT hockey club. They’ve been going for ten years, and have devolped into an established and very reputable sports society. They’re all about inclusivity – whilst being a predominantly LGBT organization, they’re open to everyone.

It’s a social affair as well as a sporting exercise. They organize nights out around London for their members on a regular basis, as well as casual drinks after training. It’s also all very easy going – no perfectionist techniques and barked training orders here! Even if you’re not proficient at hockey, you’re encouraged to join if for no other reason than to meet some like-minded LGBT people and have a bit of a laugh.

That said they do train on a regular basis, in both league and friendly matches. They have men’s, women’s and mixed teams and have taken part in international LGBT tournaments in Stockholm, Antwerp and Rotterdam, and this year they’re headed to Berlin!
