It’s a chilly Saturday night on the eve of Halloween. A full moon drifts behind a wisp of cloud, as shadows creep over London’s cobbled streets

In the distance, a cat howls as it knocks over a dustbin. It wouldn’t be out of place to see the silhouette of a werewolf vaulting across the city’s undulating gables.

And down by the Thames, near Southwark Bridge, troupes of hairy, husky men prowl the streets. It’s time for BRÜT HALLOWEEN.

brut halloween

The first reason Brüt is perfect for Halloween, is the venue. It’s at The Steelyard, on the aptly named Allhallows Lane. The words “Allhallows Lane” just evoke images of Jack The Ripper and blood-spattered alleyways don’t they! Helena Bonham Carter swishing up to Saint Pauls in a tattered ballgown, brandishing a bucket of eels. We’re getting off topic, sorry, we’re just REALLY REALLY excited for Halloween.

Anyway, yes, the Steelyard couldn’t be a more perfect venue. A labyrinthine patchwork of shadowy tunnels and arched ceilings that disappear out of sight, it’s the perfect place for some chillingly sexy encounters with Brüt’s notoriously, growlingly handsome clientele of crazed cubs, scarebears and horrifyingly hot hunks. Who knows, you might pull a hot werewolf.

They’ve got all sorts going on, including a premier league lineup of DJs. There’ll be blood-curdling beats (bear with us on the Halloween puns, there’ll be lots of this in this issue) in the main room from Louis Lennon, Tom Stephan, Richard Harrington and DJ Charley. Then in Room 2 it’s DJ Dreadful, Ben Jamin and Ross Jones.

Apparently there’ll be ghoulish goodies and grisly giveaways too! We’re not sure what, but we can guarantee they’ll be Halloween-related. Maybe plastic spiders, always fun! Or alien eggs! WOoOooOo! Ooh and if you come in costume there’s a free shot in it for ya.

• Brüt Halloween is on Saturday 29th October at The Steelyard, 13-16 Allhallows Lane, EC4R 3UL.

10pm – 6am. Adv tickets £15.
