Comptons of Soho

Comptons is great. We know we always say that and that you’re probably bored of us banging on about it so don’t just take our word for it.

On Tripadvisor, karlosx87 says it has ‘amazing atmosphere’, justincaseurl8 appreciated the ‘very attentive and friendly staff’, while touringaround2014 asked ‘why is the rest of London so unfriendly and not like this place?’ See, it’s not just us. And it isn’t us just creating accounts and posting positive reviews intermittently over the past couple of years. That would be weird. And far, far too much effort.

Now we’ve established that everyone loves Comptons, we can get round to telling you about what they’ve got in store for you over the coming week. It’s always been unique in putting club DJs in a pub environment and this week is no different. Tasty Tim continues his Thursday night residency, while Swedish A:M fave Yvette Lindquist takes to the decks on Friday. Halloween Saturday sees house heavyweight Louis Chatten play until 2am and then it’s the wide-ranging tastes of Brent Nicholls on the Sunday. Alex Eugenio plays his picks of soulful house on Monday, with the happy hour offer of £2.50 drinks also enough to tempt you down in itself.

So this Halloween weekend, mince your way down Old Compton Street and hit up the Grand Dame herself for a drink and you’ll see why we, and karlosx87, have nothing but glowing praise.
