Ray’s combines casual vibes with cutting edge cocktails

With winter tightening it’s icy grip on our poor cold little London bums, it’s not about smoking terraces and drinking in parks anymore – it’s all about dusky booths and cinnamon rims! And by cinnamon rim, we mean cinnamon around the rim of a cocktail glass. Not what YOU were thinking. Yes, it’s all about strong whisky concoctions. Warm things that slip down the throat (stop it).

So it’s perfect then, that a new bar doing EXACTLY THINGS LIKE THAT, has just opened in Dalston! Oh yes! It’s not all doom and gloom and closures. There are new, exciting little venues popping up all the time, you just have to know where to look (and/or sleep with the right DJs).

Ray’s Bar is a joint venture between our fave hedonistic homos Dalston Superstore, and mouthwatering purveyors of pizza, Voodoo Rays. Ray’s is a cute little basement bar. The staff are hot and the drinks are STRONG. And really, those are the two most important things aren’t they. Come through, Ray.

  • Ray’s Bar is at 95 Kingsland High Street, E8 2PB.
