A new night called Magazine. We don’t want to blow our own trumpet (we’ve tried, can’t reach) but this is only going to be impossibly glamorous. Take it from us, we’ve seen it all. The glam celebrity guests. The glitzy press nights. The epoch-defining writing. It’s all part of the job. It is absolutely NOT Cup-a-Soups and Little Mix jokes. No.
Magazine is ultra-chic fashionista Gok Wan’s latest pet project. He’s done with making Britain’s women go starkers on telly, he’s released a Chinese cook-book, and now, he’s ticking off curating a club night off his list. He’s out to make his mark on London’s nightlife with a head-turning, camera-flashing party experience.
Down in the urban grittiness of The Steelyard’s arches, he’s invited a banging list of DJs and hosts to kick it off in aptly glam style. He’s promising uplifting deep and vocal house music from his set and is also going to be joined by Charlie Holland, The Mac Twins and Goldierocks for a night of unpretentious, no-filler clubbing that’ll have you in a dance-floor daze for days.
There’s going to be catwalks, dancers, and enough major looks to fill a glossy magazine. Perhaps the sort you’d read on a short-haul flight to Milan. Be seen and be scene at The Steelyard this Saturday for a unique fusion of style and music, all the brainchild of national treasure, Gok Wan.
