Madcap Spanglish fiesta Lady Olé rolls back into North London this Saturday with excessive levels of gusto and gumption! It’s a proper cult party this one. What do we mean by that? Basically, it’s dead cool and you probably haven’t been yet. That’s why we’re here though. QX does the nightlife detector work so you can just sit back and relax with a can of Coke Zero.
Anyway, Lady Olé melds together Spanish and British kitsch culture to create a bubbly bubble of hardcore hedonism. They always have a dress code and, even better, people genuinely make an effort for it. Is there anything worse than a fancy dress party where only a quarter of the people have come costumed up and a few others have put in some plastic fangs or a cowboy hat? You don’t get that at Lady Ole though. No way. This Saturday’s party has the theme ‘SPECTACULAR’, which can be interpreted in any way you want really. Go nuts.
The night will be dedicated to the Queen of Spanish disco, Alaska! She’s got a hamper of hot hits, like Pegamoides, Kaka Deluxe and Dinarama, and DJs Soy Larga and Alejandro Asencio will be spinning ‘em as well as a whole host of other Latin bangers. So book a ticket and book a babysitter!
