Famed queer musician Adam Lambert is first announced to perform at Manchester Pride in 2020.

Time to slap on that black nail varnish. Quaff that up-do! Following his announcement of a European Tour and a Las Vegas residency, Adam Lambert has shared that he’ll be taking to the stage of Manchester Pride this year. He’ll be taking to the stage on Sunday of the August Bank Holiday weekend of Manchester Pride Festival’s Machester Pride Live

Lambert rose to face in 2009 having appeared on the 8th season of American Idol bringing an extravagant flair to the show. He has since fronted iconic band Queen, taking up the reigns from Freddie Mercury for a world-wide tour. The openly gay American performer has sold over 3 million albums and 5 million singles across the globe.

His new single “Roses” has also been announced today, featuring legendary performer Nile Rogers, and will lead his Velvet album tour. The full album will be hitting shelves in late March, giving Pride-goers enough time to get those Lamber lyrics DOWN. His Machester performance will be one of his two UK dates as part of the European tour.

Speaking about his excitement at landing the Sunday evening slot, Lambert shared:

“I am so excited to perform at Manchester Pride for the very first time! Something I have always wanted to do! I keep hearing that LGBTQ + representation is on fire over there and I can’t wait to be part of it and see you soon!”
