Fringe theatre has always been one of the joys of London and we are fortunate that there are still several venues that are regularly staging queer content. One of those is the delightful Hen and Chickens. This intimate theatre is above a hip bar and urban beer garden in N1.

Coming up at The Hen & Chickens Theatre, Pink Milk Theatre is staging their production of Naughty from 27th September to 2nd October. It is a darkly comic, queer coming-of-age tale. Pink Milk Theatre had an OffFest-nominated run at Camden Fringe 2021.

Days after Andrew ends his seven-year relationship with college sweetheart, Jake, he is messaged out of the blue by a former ‘friend’. This unwelcome advance triggers an emotional spiral as Andrew recounts his unstable first steps into the world of gay sex and queer identity; all under the increasingly imposing guidance of Kevin, a teacher at his drama academy.

★★★★ ‘Naughty displays a strong sense of survival and celebration of self’ (LouReviews)

★★★★ ‘Unflinchingly honest. Powerfully conveyed’ (The Reviews Hub)

★★★★★ ‘His sublime ability to multi-role is a joy to experience’ (A Younger Theatre)
