Hi Jordan, would you like to introduce yourself and tell us a bit about yourself?

Hi, I’m Jordan Chan, Operations Manager by day and a LGBTQ+ activist and Charity Fund Raiser by night and in my spare time!

I’m a director of my local pride, and I’m incredibly passionate about looking after and supporting my local and wider LGBTQ+ community, as well as raising money for fantastic charities.

Last year, I organised a calendar to raise money for my local pride and to raise awareness around testicular cancer. The charity I raised money for was The Odd Balls Foundation, and I sold over 200 copies, with the help and support of Trojan Fitness and the incredibly talented Mwordsphotography.

You are currently promoting a charity calendar. Can you tell us more about that?

I wanted to do another calendar this year, and wanted to support the Terrance Higgins Trust as I’ve seen the fantastic work they do in person and over social media, my good friend also mentioned the Sussex Beacon, and after him telling me what fantastic work they do, and after researching and seeing the work they do myself, and after speaking to them, I knew I wanted to raise money for them too, so the Red Ribbon Calendar was created, again with the help and support of Mwordsphotography and Trojan Fitness, along with 17 stunning and amazing models!

You can find out more about these amazing charities by checking out their socials on the links below!

The calendar features implied nudes (think calendar girl style) and underwear, which our friends at Addicted UK provided for the shoot. We also incorporated the iconic red ribbon into the photos in honour of World AIDS Day.

I didn’t just want to raise money for these two fantastic charities; I wanted the calendar to spark conversations about the stigma and misinformation we sadly still see today around HIV, with resources and information leaflets provided by the charities, which will be included in all our postal orders.

What was the inspiration behind the calendar?

I have many friends who are living with HIV, and I have seen and heard the stigma they face. I also watched I Kissed a Boy and saw Adam’s story and lived experience, and so many more.  I just wanted to try and help combat the stigma and raise money for two amazing charities at the same time.

When does the calendar go on sale, and where can our readers buy it?

We have calendar launch and signing parties in Brighton, Margate, Kent, and London over the coming months, and you can follow our journey on my socials to keep updated with our progress!
