Woolwich Works is gearing up for a fabulous festive season at its historic Royal Arsenal location. Christmas at Woolwich Works features a range of events from drag performances and disco anthems to cabaret and Christmas parties. The program offers a unique twist on traditional festive celebrations.

The Christmas festivities kick off on 28 November with the Brixton Chamber Orchestra’s Disco Orchestrated. The orchestra transforms popular disco hits into a live orchestral experience. With a 19-piece ensemble and four vocalists, the concert promises an evening of dancing, singing, and holiday cheer.

Christmas Drag at Woolwich Works

At the heart of the program is Drag the Halls, presented by LGBTQ+ Greenwich on 10 December. This vibrant cabaret variety show returns, featuring drag queens, kings, and various performers alongside burlesque, clowning, comedy, and live singing. The show celebrates the creativity and diversity of the local LGBTQ+ community.

The following night, on 11 December, Drag Bingo UK: Festive Edition brings a lively party atmosphere to the Christmas calendar by blending bingo with drag entertainment and seasonal fun. Together, these two events promise a colorful duo of festive nights out.

Christmas Karaoke and Silent Disco

The celebrations continue on 18 December with Karaoke at the Works – Christmas Special. Audiences can take the stage to sing their favourite holiday songs. Hosted by cabaret characters Binkie and Maud, this free event welcomes younger singers earlier in the evening before transitioning to an adults-only singalong.

On 19 December, Santa’s Silent Disco: Ages 18 to 118 will feature three DJs playing festive anthems, providing another opportunity to dance and celebrate with friends before Christmas.
