Their Majesties is a monthly LGBT+ event at The Oval Tavern, Croydon. It’s on the last Thursday of every month. Showcasing Drag talent and queer culture through cabaret, live vocals lip sync and comedy, Their Majesties is hosted by Asifa Lahore.

Asifa Lahore is Britain’s First Out Muslim Drag Queen along with fellow Croydon drag artist, Shepherd’s Bush.  As well as performances by the hosts there will be a visiting queer artist each month. For March they will have Bambi Price’d Divine who will join in for their Trans Day of Visibility Celebrations.

Croydon might be the largest London Borough but somehow it doesn’t have any LGBT designated venue, safe space or event. At the root of putting this on is the desire to create a space for queer openness in Croydon.

To find out more about Asifa Lahore check out the Guardian interview here.

Entry is free but it’s advisable to call to book a table –  020 8686 6023.

Their Majesties is on Thursday 31 March 2022, 8pm-11pm. (And then every last Thursday of the month).

The Oval Tavern, 131 Oval Road, Croydon, CR0 6BR United Kingdom. 5 minute walk from East Croydon Station.
